With the claim to advise its Clients in a future-oriented manner in all areas of commercial law, the internationally positioned law firm Taylor Wessing is constantly engaged in new trends and developments. To this end, the lawyers always look beyond the horizon in order to exchange ideas with experts from other disciplines. We were invited by Taylor Wessing to the "TW Open Mic", a platform for open exchange on current topics and developments in the digital world.
We looked at the digital world from the perspective of the changing world of work, the role of people in it and discussed the dynamics that arise. In addition to digitization as a driver of change, other aspects such as social changes had to be addressed in this context. These have an effect on our working world, for example, in that people are adapting their understanding of their role from an objectified, purely human resource to a self-determined acting subject and are redefining the construct "work" in part in a completely new way.
Many thanks to the two IT law experts Mareike Gehrmann and Fritz-Ulli Pieper for the invitation and the interesting exchange of ideas.
